This paper demonstrates the ability to control the location of polymer deposition onto porous substrates using vapor phase polymerization in combination with metal salt inhibitors. Functional polymers such as hydrophobic poly(1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluorodecyl acrylate), click-active poly(pentafluorophenyl methacrylate), and light-responsive poly(ortho-nitrobenzyl methacrylate) were patterned onto porous hydrophilic substrates using metal salts. A combinatorial screening approach was used to determine the effects of different transition metal salts and reaction parameters on the patterning process. It was found that CuCl(2) and Cu(NO(3))(2) were effective at uniformly inhibiting the deposition of all three polymers through the depth of the porous substrate and along the entire cross section. This study offers a new and convenient method to selectively deposit a wide variety of functional polymers onto porous materials and will enable the production of next-generation multifunctional paper-based microfluidic devices, polymeric photonic crystals, and filtration membranes.  相似文献

In infinite time quadratic control and stochastic filtering problems for linear delay systems, operator algebraic Riccati equations play a very important role. However, since these are abstract operator equations, it is very useful, in analyzing their structure, to be able to characterize the kernel functions associated with the solutions of the operator Riccati equations. The kernel functions are given by the unique solution of a set of coupled differential equations. By comparing these kernel equations with similar ones available in the literature, it is shown that this characterization result is somewhat stronger than previously known results. Possible extentions to systems with control, observation, as well as state delays are also pointed out.  相似文献

The construction of reflectionless potentials supporting a prescribed spectrum of Schrödinger bound states is discussed and related to the inverse problem for confining potentials. A simple formula is derived for the Jost solution in a one-dimensional reflection-less potential with N bound states. This leads to compact expressions for the potential and the bound-state wavefunctions in terms of the bound-state energies. For symmetric potentials, N-fold product formulas are obtained for bound-state wavefunctions and their slopes at the origin. Corresponding quantities in a confining potential are given by infinite products. Comparison of the finite-product and infinite-product expressions allows a demonstration of the convergence of the reflectionless results to the confining potential results as N → ∞. Several sum rules satisfied by the reflectionless potential at the origin are applied to numerical studies of convergence.  相似文献

The direct addition of in situ prepared arylzinc to aldehydes with chiral binaphthyl-derived amino alcohols as catalysts can afford optically active diarylmethanols in high yields and with excellent enantioselectivities (up to 99 % ee, ee = enantiomeric excess). By using a single catalyst, both enantiomers of many pharmaceutically interesting diarylmethanols can be obtained by the proper combination of various arylzinc reagents with different aldehydes; this catalytic system also works well for the phenylation of aliphatic aldehydes to give up to 96 % ee.  相似文献

XENON10 is an experiment to directly detect weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs), which may comprise the bulk of the nonbaryonic dark matter in our Universe. We report new results for spin-dependent WIMP-nucleon interactions with 129Xe and 131Xe from 58.6 live days of operation at the Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso. Based on the nonobservation of a WIMP signal in 5.4 kg of fiducial liquid xenon mass, we exclude previously unexplored regions in the theoretically allowed parameter space for neutralinos. We also exclude a heavy Majorana neutrino with a mass in the range of approximately 10 GeV/c2-2 TeV/c2 as a dark matter candidate under standard assumptions for its density and distribution in the galactic halo.  相似文献

A ligand‐enabled Pd‐catalyzed Suzuki–Miyaura coupling of haloterthienyls for the synthesis of various thiophene‐based π‐conjugated oligomers including quinquethiophenes is demonstrated. An indolyl phosphine ligand plays an important role in this transformation. Thiopheneboronic acids were well applied, which might open up a window for the application of thiopheneboronic acids in the synthesis of thiophene‐based π‐conjugated oligomers in materials chemistry.  相似文献

An interesting rhodium-catalyzed asymmetric aqueous Pauson-Khand-type reaction was developed. A chiral atropisomeric dipyridyldiphosphane ligand was found to be highly effective in this system. This operationally simple protocol allows both catalyst and reactants to be handled under air without precautions. Various enynes were transformed to the corresponding bicyclic cyclopentenones in good yield and enantiomeric excess (up to 95 % ee). A study of the electronic effects of the enyne substrates revealed a correlation between the electronic properties of the substrates and the ee value obtained in the product of the Pauson-Khand-type reaction. A linear free-energy relationship was observed from a Hammett study.  相似文献
